Ward III City Councillor

One of the biggest missteps of this term of council was the exercise in rebranding which culminated in the creation and rejection of a new municipal logo brand. I voted against the initiation of the project in 2013 and again at the end of the process in 2014. Although well intentioned, the project was not well managed. In the end, a lot of volunteer, staff and consultant time and a lot of money was wasted. Council finally agreed that my 2013 objections to the immense implementation costs (at least $500K) could not be justified. And, council finally recognized that residents truly love our current brand logo.
